DAY-leez KUL-o-rist : A dailies colorist is responsible for adjusting and enhancing the color of the footage that has been shot each day. The work involves color correction, balancing exposure, and ensuring consistency across all shots. This helps the director and cinematographer assess the look of the film and make any necessary adjustments during production. Additionally a colorist can work on location where they have the added task of sorting, tagging, syncing, and delivering all media provided as well as troubleshooting any issues that might arise along the way. All of this happens in one night in order to ensure editorial and the studio receive media in a timely fashion the next morning.
